WILW

Before I go any further- How many Pretty Little Liars fans do we have out there? This show is the most addicting thing I have ever seen. What a crazy life these girls live!

I haven't done the What I'm Loving Wednesday link up with Jamie in a while. I'm thinking I'm long overdue. This is what I am loving on this gorgeous Wednesday morning.

I've been branching out in the cooking world lately and I love it. When I cook I seem to eat  healthier because I'm not just picking up processed food. I owe all my cooking on the summertime because every night just seems perfect to light the grill up. This lady isn't complaining! In the past week with friends we have made chicken and shrimp kabobs, tilapia, tons of fresh veggies, steaks, dips, and pasta salad. Nothing extravagant but I promise it's been good!

cruising the Beaufort waterfront- amazing

Atlantic Beach. I've been extremely blessed this summer having been able to take several trips that way. I just got back Monday morning from celebrating my best friends new beau's 25th birthday at AB! AB is an easy drive for us at only about an hour and a half away and is absolutely gorgeous! This past weekend we were hanging out at Shackleford when a group of horses walked right up to us in the water. Pure amazingness. I am 100% convinced NC has it all from the mountains to the coast.

I'm loving all of the hillarious ecards that have been pinned lately.

and my guilty pleasure that should NOT be admitted. I've been loving Laguna Beach being played every morning this week. It reminds me of my high school days when this show was actually cool. Now I clearly see how ridiculous it is but can't help but reminisce.

What are you loving today? Have a great day!

Summer Reading

I don't know what it is about summer and reading but it just goes together. Maybe it's because summer is when you actually have time to read. I know being in school that's how it was for me! I tend to accumulate quite a long list of books to read, never actually reading them all before I add more. This summer I have been stuck on one book in particular that was just okay but not that great. What this really means is.. it keeps me entertained for about 10 pages then puts me to sleep. Do you know how long it takes to read a 400 page book at this rate? A while.. On the boat this past weekend I had my book out and it accidentally flew off and into the water. It stinks that I don't get to finish it but it means I can finally start reading all the books everyone and there brother is talking about!!

This is how far behind I am..

I'm now reading The Hunger Games.. and love it! I don't fall asleep while reading like the other, ha. I'm hoping to finish it this week and then move on to Catching Fire and Mockingjay. I'm really enjoying the book but enjoy even more talking about it to the girl I babysit. She just turned 11 and has the first two of the trilogy. Although, I still can't get over the concept of a game where you kill people? It's nice to talk to her about them because all of my friends have moved on to what is next on the list....

Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. What is it with the trilogies? I obviously have a lot of reading to do. This one is ALL I hear about. I want to read it n.o.w.

What do yall think of these books? I know at least some, if not most, of you ladies have read them! Should I put down Hunger Games and pick up Fifty Shades immediately?

Good thing I have lots of pool days in my near future, I will be reading up a storm!

Refreshed and Ready

Okay friends, I realize I've been gone for over a month and have no good excuse. With graduation and so many things changing I just needed a little break. Good news though! I'm back rested, refreshed and have plenty of things to share!!

Here's the rundown on the past month I have been MIA. I graduated college, ran off to the beach four times, have been enjoying the summer as a full time nanny, and am trying to find a job as a teacher in the Raleigh area starting in August. <-- Any fellow teachers out there have any tips for the last part?! I am not having much luck in this area and it is beyond frustrating!

The month in  a few pictures:

I would say May was a fantastic month and can't wait to see what June has to bring!! (:
