Low Key Weekend Recap

Ohh Monday, we meet again. I had a very low key weekend so there isn't too much to share. I mentioned last week that spring break started this past Friday for my school. What this means for me is all of my friends are heading off to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and various places while I get to stay in town and attend my internship. Fun Fun. Yes, there is a touch of sarcasm there. I don't mind too much because I have the best second graders ever, although a little beach time would have been nice. Oh well, what do ya do. (:

Friday was a teacher workday at school which I always enjoy because teachers can arrive an hour later than normal and can wear jeans. An extra hour of sleep and comfy clothes make a big difference! I didn't have to babysit after school so I was able to head home and catch up on laundry and house cleaning. Friday night my best friend Maghan's boyfriend had a friend in town so we all headed out on the town. After a long week of school a night laughing with friends is exactly what I needed! Saturday my sister and I went to see This Means War at the theatre. If you are looking for a good movie to see I highly suggest it! Reese Witherspoon is so darn cute! I just love her!

Saturday night I got together with the same group of friends to watch the UNC VS. Duke game. Yes, I was pulling on the Tarheels. Needless to say it was a great game and I have good reason to continue wearing Carolina blue. Go heels!

Fun and games were over come Sunday however. I realized I can't put off grad school applications any longer. I have everything ready to be sent in except for my personal statement. Any suggestions from anyone on this piece of writing? I'm so ready to have it all submitted!! Alright friends, hope you have a great Monday!

  1. My Spring Break is in two weeks! I am exhausted from my internship, too. We don't have too many weeks left! Hang in there! :)

  2. I had a low key weekend too--sometimes they're better than busy, exciting ones! Are you applying to grad schools to get your Masters of Teaching? Which schools are you looking at? Glad to hear that Reese movie is cute--I couldn't tell if it would be good or not!
