I hope you all had a great weekend!! Mine went by entirely too fast (as always) but was very nice! At stayed at my internship late on Friday to get all of my work done and I am so glad I did. It stresses me out to have lots of things on my to-do list. By finishing everything I had the weekend free to do whatever I pleased. I came down with a sinus infection so I spent Saturday resting up. I had lots of time to start reading How To Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World, which I love. Saturday night was a friend of mines birthday so I had to get it together to partake in the celebrations. We had so much fun but unfortunately I didn't get any pictures. I got a little shopping in this weekend as well and couldn't wait to share my finds with y'all! I absolutely love both pieces! The dress is from a local boutique called Catalog Connection and the skirt is from Ann Taylor Loft. I know they are simple but to me that means classic and is right down my alley! The dress has a brown leather buckle at the top that sets it apart from other black dresses. It will look perfect with my riding boots!
I have today off from my internship for MLK day! I think I needed another day to kick this sinus infection so the holiday couldn't have come at a better time. I will be spending the day: using my Starbucks gift card, writing lesson plans, reading and running a few errands. I'm going to leave you with a quote from the book i'm reading. It's definitely something to think about!
Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.
I love that dress and skirt! Such cute finds!
