Punxsutawney Phil

I am a total cheese ball and love any holiday, even groundhog day! Any reason to possibly have hope that spring is nearing makes me excited. Here are some facts you may not have known about our little season predictor Punxsutawney Phil.

1. Even though groundhogs only live about 10 years, this groundhog has been kicking since 1880. Hey, it isn't up for me to decide(;

2. He is very tech savy and will be tweeting as well as texting his prediction this year.

3. He speaks Groundhogese which is only heard and understood by the president of the Groundhog club's inner circle.

4. PPhil has several other names as well- Prognosticator of Prognosticators, National treasure and others.

5. We can thank the German immigrants who came to Punxsutawney, Pa. for this tradition.

Here's to hoping little man does not see his shadow and spring is well on it's way. (Although, I still don't think Winter has hit this part of NC.. High of 70 yesterday and high of 65 today!)

Catch Up

I am over a week late about responding to this award and only have about an hour left to complete this February challenge. Whew, I'd say it's time for me to get to it!

One of the first blogs I stumbled across and immediately fell in love with when I started blogging is A Life Full of Laughter. Kayln is simply adorable to say the least (I need to comment on your blogs more Kayln, you are a favorite daily read of mine) I was so excited when she gave me the Liebster Blog Award!

Apparently Liebster means dear, beloved or favorite in German and is for bloggers with less than 200 followers.  Here's how it works:

Thank your Liebster Blog Aware presenter on your blog.
Link back to the blogger to awarded you.

My top 5 blog pics in no order are:

and now for the February Photo Challenge Day 1:

I can't help it, I had to pick 2 views! This is a photo of where I spend every single evening writing lesson plans. Considering I am at my internship 9 hours a day and write lesson plans about 3+ hours each night- this was only appropriate.

I have about a 20 minute drive to get to the house I babysit at. I get to leave the city limits and head into the country. I love the drive because it gives me a chance to unwind and enjoy the scenery. This photo doesn't do the area justice, it is gorgeous at certain times of the day!

I don't know what I'm going to wear but..

Simply precious!
This 5 year old saves her dad's life by calling 911 while still managing to think about what she's going to wear. You have to watch it!
"so far, so good"

The I don't know what I'm going to where mentality must start young. No wonder I always feel like I have a closet full of clothes with nothing to wear. haha- Well it's that time, I'm off to second grade. This is what I'm wearing!

I will be participating in this February challenge starting today!
Right now my view is very dark and not pretty at 6am so I'll wait until later in the day to snap a picture(:
